Last night, Brandon and I went bowling (it's a new thing for us), and I had high score (which wasn't high by any stretch of the imagination. Anyway, go me!
We decided to stop by a local restaurant for a bite to eat, and were seated fairly close to the table beside us.
I knew when I saw this woman, we were going to be in for something. She was over-tanned, wearing a lot of gaudy gold jewelry, loud, and well...looked cheap. Her boyfriend made a comment to the couple sitting next to them that she never shuts up. She never did.
I was generally annoyed having to listen to her life story while I'm trying to have a nice dinner with my husband, and I asked the waiter (who we know) for our check because she was driving me insane.
Then I hear, "I'm an attorney" and I'm like [:|] There is no way this lady is an attorney. Brandon thought I was just being judgmental, but the more she talked, name dropped, and didn't really mention what she did or anything I had the feeling she was either a legal secretary or a paralegal or maybe none of the above.
So, just as we are giving the check back to the waiter, she says, "Yeah, I've been practicing law since I was 17." ooooookaaaaay.
Either she's full of shit, or she's the Doogie Howser of law. You decide.
